The Cabin

Rumor has it deep inside the taiga, if you can ever find the middle, lays a stranded cabin. Many of the neighborhood kids from Canada dared to venture into these woods and attempt to find this cabin. However, all have come back either unsuccessful or haven’t come back at all. Those rare few who actually survived the experience have either gone insane or tore their eyes out of their sockets with their bare hands and stabbed knives in their ears. Those who have gone insane continuously mutter about “loud screeching”, scratches continually edging into their brains and seeing shadows moving in their peripheral vision. What exactly happened to them? Only one witness stayed sane enough to explain roughly what happened.

The account was taken on June 28th, 2009. The witness came running into civilization at 3:23am. They claimed that something was following them. They screamed about how the screeching wouldn’t leave their ears. It was like hammering a nail into your brain slowly but forcefully. It took hours before she calmed down enough to manage five words:

“Don’t go in the woods.”

She began with saying she wanted to go sightseeing. She went hiking and was taking pictures of the beautiful view. Then she felt something practically pulling her to a certain area of the forest. Then she saw the cabin. It was dark, painted completely black. Or at least, it once was. Old paint chipped away as a rotten yellow was shown underneath it. The right part of the roof was caved in and splinters of wood stuck out from various places. The blue windows were covered in dust so hardly anything was visible inside. The only thing she could make out was a tall wardrobe off to the side of the room. Oddly enough, only the door seemed to not have aged a bit. It had, as described, “a curled and intricate design that was as beautiful as anything she had ever seen.” She said there was a force pulling her towards the cabin.
